The principal, Kurt Poeschl, began providing testing and maintenance services in the Milwaukee industrial industry in 1994. Extensive work in vintage switchgear systems was coupled with the transition to analog electronic protection, eventually leading to the microprocessor systems of today. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 1996 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, further development was gained with equipment manufacturers, including Magnetek (AC/DC motor drives) and Waukesha Electric Systems (medium power transformer manufacturer).
He had recently been serving as the engineering manager at Electrical Energy Experts, Inc. for 16 years performing NETA acceptance testing and maintenance, specializing in distributed generation systems and coordination studies. In 2017 Kurt began an independent consulting company, providing specialized engineering services for the industry in many areas of the country. He has been a member of the IEEE Power Engineering Society since 2001. Professional engineering licenses are currently held in the states of WI and IL.
